Dr. Gloria Jones Professional Development Scholarships

We are committed to supporting students through the scholarship established in honor of Dr. Gloria Jones, a true trailblazer whose life and career were dedicated to service, mentorship and advancing the field of addiction counseling. By investing in future leaders in her name, we are proud to continue her legacy of compassion, academic excellence and unwavering commitment to strengthening individuals, families and communities.

The Gloria Jones Professional Development Scholarships are available to individuals committed to a career in substance use disorders, prevention, treatment, recovery, or other related areas. Eligible individuals may be students actively enrolled, either full-time or part-time, in an undergraduate or graduate program in the related fields or professionals within the first three years of working in the related fields who are working towards field-related certifications (CAC I, CAC II, CADC I, CADC II, PCCG, etc.). Applicants must demonstrate their dedication to the prevention, addiction, treatment, or recovery field as their chosen career path.

 

Scholarship awards may be for the Georgia School registration fees, lodging or both, depending on need and quantity of scholarship applications/winners. Individuals receiving scholarships must attend the full conference from Sunday afternoon through Thursday afternoon and are expected to attend all conference events, including plenary sessions, workshops, and lunches. They must also participate in a proctor training on Sunday evening and serve as a workshop proctor throughout the event. 

 

Applications are due by May 5 at 5:00 pm, and those receiving scholarships will be contacted by May 15.
